Papers are being invited for the 2012 International Forum on Biomedical Textile Materials to be held at Donghua University at Songjiang University City, Shanghai, China.
The guiding theme of the forum will be:
“Predicting a New Era for Biomedical Textile Materials and Technology”.
Areas to be highlighted include:
A.New materials and biopolymers for biomedical applications
B.Surface modification and biocompatibility
C.Medical textiles for protection and healthcare
D.Tissue engineering scaffolds
E.Construction and performance of biotextile implants
Papers on other topics in related subject areas will also be considered.
Submission of Abstracts
A one page abstract with title, names of authors and keywords should be submitted no later than April 15, 2012. Submissions received after this date will not be given primary consideration for inclusion in the program. Please prepared abstracts according to the attached special format, which is also on-line at http://biomedtextile.dhu.edu.cn.
Forum Program
The Form program will include three parts. First, a number of international keynote lecturers will present their invited oral papers. Second, eight young researchers will be invited to orally present their work. Third, an important part of the program will involve the poster sessions, when authors will have the opportunity to discuss their work with attendees.
By May 1, 2012, the first author and/or the corresponding author of each submitted abstract will be advised that their abstract has been accepted for either poster or oral presentation at the Forum, and their abstract will be included in the Proceedings of the 2012 International Forum on Biomedical Textile Materials.
The Academic Committee will invite the authors of 8 of the selected abstracts to give oral presentations at the Forum which will be recognised by special awards. At the close of the Forum the Academic Committee will also give 10 awards for the most outstanding poster presentations.
The official language of the Forum is English. Please submit your abstract and Information Table electronically by sending them as e-mail attachments in MS Word “doc” format to the conference Organizing Committee at: ifbmtm@dhu.edu.cn.
