主讲人简 介:Dr. Xiaohua Huang received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. After postdoctoral training at Georgia Tech and Emory University supervised by Prof. Mostafa El- Sayed and Prof. Shuming Nie, she joined The University of Memphis as a tenure-track faculty in 2010. During her academic training at Georgia Tech and Emory University, Dr. Huang has been extensively working on the development and applications of gold nanoparticles especially near infrared-absorbing gold nanorods for light scattering cancer imaging, photothermal therapy and surface enhanced Raman scattering detection. In her independent research at The University of Memphis, her research interests has extended to combination cancer therapy using gold-based nanocarriers and detection and analysis of circulating tumor cells with iron oxide-gold hybrid nanoparticles in conjunction with advanced Raman microscopy and microchip technology.
